Startmate brings together the best people in Australian startups to fund and support the next wave of founders.
Startmate brings together the best people in Australian startups to fund and support the next wave of founders.
Over the last seven years we’ve helped 62 companies including Bugcrowd, Upguard, Morse Micro, Workyard, PropellerAero, Flirtey, Edrolo Happy Inspector, Honee and Vero and many many more!
We think we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible.
That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to announce that we’ve found the person to help build the future of Startmate.
James Tynan is obsessed with bringing ideas to life. He has recently returned to Australia from the US where he helped scale Khan Academy from a YouTube success to the biggest ed-tech startup in the world.
At Khan Academy he created the BD and Marketing functions building Khan Academy’s first brand campaign and striking partnerships with Bank of America, Pixar/Disney and Comcast.
See some of his magic here.
James also built LearnStorm which is on track to become the biggest learning event in the world.
Previous to Khan Academy James founded and sold a digital archiving business, worked as a consultant at McKinsey on health and technology and was a GM at NYC-based startup Purpose.
Please welcome James to Startmate!
P.S. James is already looking for an amazing Head of Operations and Community and Events Lead to join the team so please spread the word far and wide!
